Mastication of Brutality Uncontrolled - Preemptive Space Warfare

Mastication of Brutality Uncontrolled
Preemptive Space Warfare
by Marcos "Big Daddy" Garcia at 28 March 2016, 10:59 AM

Did someone write down the number of the truck's plate that passed over me?

Abusively brutal and extreme, we could say that the quartet MASTICATION OF BRUTALITY UNCONTROLLED, from Germany, really is doing a good job on their first album, "Preemptive Space Warfare".

We can say that they play an extreme and brutal way into Death Metal, but with a difference from Brutal Death Metal bands: they keep some good and clear influences from Old School times, from bands as MORBID ANGEL, CANNIBAL CORPSE and DEICIDE on the band's work. And of course, the rhythmic session work is done in a very brutal and technical way, with fine and heavy riffs on guitar playing, but the vocals are really good on the guttural parts, but these piggish screams are annoying sometimes. But it doesn't damage their work (it's a matter of musical taste), and they attack your ears and minds with violent, technical and a really good taste form of music. Prepare your soul for their raping fury!

There are not great comments or complains about the sound quality of "Preemptive Space Warfare". It was done in a way respecting the band's musical work, as well feeding the aggressiveness. It's clear on instrumental parts in a way you really can understand what they are playing, but brutal and nasty as it must be.

Ok, I really noted that their work is nothing new, but it has its value and attractive traits. And their songs are really fine.

Give a listening to the abrasive attack of massive riffs on "Preemptive Space Warfare", the chaos of musical technique mixed with brutality of "Mother Earth Abortion" (here you can see good tempo changes and very good drums) and "Brutal Laser Devastation" (again with very good riffs), the heavy storm of brutality presented on "Life-Form Adoption" (the vocals are fine here, with good guttural grunts, but song is filled as well by an excellent work from bass guitar and drums), the oppressive blow of insane guitars presented on "Prophecy of the Apocalypse" (another show of rhythmic changes, slow and aggressive tempos and good grunts), the ravaging bass and drums on the technical "Infrastructure Destruction" and the good changes between slow and fast tempos of "New Space Order".

A good band, indeed, but they can do better than we hear here. Their music shows it.
