Milking The Goatmachine - Goatgrind Award winner

Milking The Goatmachine
Goatgrind
by Chelsea Jennings at 07 July 2015, 4:26 PM

MILKING THE GOATMACHINE are a Grindcore/Death Metal band that was founded in 2008. MILKING THE GOATMACHINE'S main goal is described on their Facebook page as "World Domination". MILKING THE GOATMACHINE'S latest album "Goatgrind" is out now via NoiseArt Records.

MILKING THE GOATMACHINE have put together an ingeniously-titled effort called "Goatgrind" which all revolves around the concept of the bands and their "goat-like" characters. This is complete with goat masks they will wear on tour as always. The album speaks heavily to what it is like to be in a band like MILKING THE GOATMACHINE are in. Being in a band like this comes with plenty of haters/naysayers that tell them they cannot become what they want to be, and that that type of music will "never sell" to the public the way they think it should. MILKING THE GOATMACHINE have stated on this album that they will fight to break into the "mainstream" of metal with their unique band concept, and will not stop no matter what anyone else says.

Tracks titled things like "Goatgrind" and "Fear The Goathammer" acknowledge the band's positive, upbeat approach to their music, and the idea that the could very well make it big with this concept they have as a band. Others like "Blow Your Sneakers" or "Mrs. Goatfire (Nanny Of The Damned)" are brilliant concepts that add some humor to their latest concept of the "Goatgrind" that their lives are. Yet other tracks like "Sound of Breaking Horns" signal that this band has fight left in them. They are able to go out and fight for what they want, and are able to take the criticism and outright hate that might come from some people who do not appreciate their brilliant craft combined of humor along with theater/costumes and Death Metal music.

While most people do not think of goats when they hear the term, "Death Metal" it is worth noting that MILKING THE GOATMACHINE is quiet "traditional" in terms of what makes them a Death Metal band. There are the skull-crushing drum-beats and the driving guitar riffs. Goatleeb's voice grunts, growls, and screams as his vocal acrobatics take over the soundtrack that is the latest MILKING THE GOATMACHINE album. The concept of "goats" and everything being about their band and their stage act is what really set this band apart.

Their positive attitude about what they do, combined with the stage performance, and the brilliant concept of "Goatgrind" are sure to push MILKING THE GOATMACHINE to the next level in the Death Metal world. It's a stark, blunt reminder that we all must chance our dreams, whether it's Death Metal "world domination" or something  entirely different. There will always be someone who says it can't be don't, but just like MILKING THE GOATMACHINE are proving, anything can be done if we work hard enough to achieve the dreams we have set for ourselves. Find those people that believe in you, and set forth on your mission. stop for no one.
