Open Fire - Sipario Di Notte Vestito

Open Fire
Sipario Di Notte Vestito

What the fuck is wrong with these Italians? This is not the first time I come across a webpage by an Italian band and it is all in Italian! If you are so proud of you language and consider yourselves special for using another language other than English why don’t you use an Italian name for your band, too? I am not obliged to translate your bio people! Plus, my antivirus program wouldn’t let me enter the label’s homepage since it considered it to be potentially dangerous. I really don’t know what to say…

Since I don’t give a damn about what these guys have done in their lives, I will go straight to the point. The band’s music is something between TOOL, A PERFECT CIRCLE and DEFTONES. Not that bad, but you know Italian bands. You only find one in a million that’s worth your attention. No intention to offend my neighbors but that’s the harsh reality. This kind of Alternative/Nu Metal is not so shitty that will make you smash your sound system, but it is not worth more than one listening session (I doubt if you will even complete the first one, too). Even though this album was supposed to be “different” and “interesting”, it is totally predictable and the fact that the lyrics are in Italian doesn’t really help.

I don’t know even if people that are into this sound will like these guys. To be more precise, not if they will like him, because that’s possible. The problem is how many people will be tempted to spend money on this album? Hmmm, probably none…
