Origin Of Storm - Internal Measure Of Decay (CD)

Origin Of Storm
Internal Measure Of Decay
by Yiannis Dafopoulos at 15 October 2008, 8:26 AM

Modern, catchy and aggressive Metal is how ORIGIN OF STORM describe their music, and I will agree. Internal Measure Of Decay is modern, it is aggressive and yes, it has some catchy rhythms. But the bad thing is that there is nothing more to attract your attention. Boring, boring, boring…

The band was formed in Istanbul, Turkey in 2004 and has faced several line up changes until now. In 2006, ORIGIN OF STORM managed to find a stable line up and record its first ever release, the EP Internal Measure Of Decay.

What these guys are trying to do is play some modern Metalcore with an emphasis on Thrash Metal, but the production of this recording is the least shitty. The guitars sound incredibly bad and the drums really needed a lot of extra work. I really can't see anything great in this band. Not that they are bad, but I really can't stand one more mediocre Metalcore/Thrashcore band. We already have enough of those.
