Over The Voids - Over The Voids

Over The Voids
Over The Voids

Polish project OVER THE VOIDS takes life in the same dark MGŁA neighborhood: with this self- titled release, out via Nordvis Produktion, they condense a black bullet of nihilistic hatred, savagely destined to shred the listener, vigorously weaved in 33mins and four tracks.

Leading the way, we find a pretty long and ambitious track “Battle of Heaven”, where Michał through shattering riffs lays the foundation for a dark and bleak atmosphere, suffocating the listener with its thickness. “Ghosts Lay Eggs” will shatter what is left standing from the previous track: pounding drums and guitars will pour furious force over the listener. Tremolo picking takes place in the end, leaving eerie vibrations in the soul and sinister chill along the spine.

“Prophet of the Winter” shifts the tempo over a more structured form, showing intelligence in keeping the attention up with a different approach. “Never again will they hunger” close the album with a shattering 9 min effort, standing on a suffocated yet present melody, bedrock for the raging vocal effort.

Polish bands in recent years demonstrated a brand new level of hellish attention in weaving some of the heaviest and blackest textured work: OVER THE VOIDS confirm this attitude with an A-level work. We find all the rage and dark feelings condensed in half an hour: furious and shattering tracks unleashed with thoughtful approach, well produced and designed to keep the listener on loop on this little black jewel.
