Around The World
by Marcos "Big Daddy" Garcia at 09 March 2018, 7:44 AM

I want to make a confession to all the readers: in some moments, I really miss that feeling, the atmosphere of the 80s, when I was a youngster that was in love with Metal. Those days were good, because we had a positive insight of life. After some events, the world seems darker, violent and sinister. So when I hear a band with some elements of those days, a band that can bring into my old bones and life some happiness of those days, I really thank them. So I must thank to PANORAMA, because “Around the World” is an album made for people like me, but to all those who love a melodic and great music.

Their main genre is a mix between the heavier aspects of Classic Rock/Hard Rock of the 80s with a modern feeling. They have it, without sounding moldy or trying to be an Old School band. In reality, they are one of those excellent bands that bring an old musical genre to the present, giving it new life, a thing that only a set of talented musicians can do. They have guts, focusing their energies to create a melodic and tasteful music, but with the right amount of weight, and excellent choruses. “Around the World” was produced, mixed and mastered by the hands of the band’s bassist, Dennis Ward (the same one from UNISONIC and PINK CREAM 69), who did a great work, using excellent instrumental tunes to give their songs a heavy weight, but with a clear insight. All sounds great and in their due places, no complaints about the sonority!

This album is a deep, strong and needed injection of positive energy in us all, and let me be honest: all the songs are excellent. But the catchy guitars and chorus of “Around the World”, the heavy and melodic weight of “Standing My Ground” (all those that are old guys like me will feel that hooking and heavy energy of the 80s, and what a great chorus once more), the charming arrangements that we hear on the harmonies of “Gates of Babylon” (the very good work of bass guitar and drums gives the song that essential punch of energy), the beautiful ballad “The Highest Mountain” (that shows how they are musically versatile, and the vocals are amazing), the heavy melodies and seductive rhythm of “Jammin in the Jungle”, the excellent guitars riffs of “One for All” (some fine duets are heard on the beginning)… Or, by the name of all the Metal gods, hear this amazing album from the beginning to the end! You’ll love it anyway…

To end my words, although these last lines aren’t as professional as many writers and readers would like, I must thank PANORAMA for existing, for bringing this essential and positive feeling back to us, in a time that all the world seems to be drowned in emptiness…

Thank you, guys…
