Poema Arcanvs - Transient Chronicles

Poema Arcanvs
Transient Chronicles
by Cameron Ervin at 15 April 2013, 4:59 PM

When I review an album I try to listen to it more than once and judge it on the musical skill and production quality. However, “Transient Chronicles” is an album that I struggled to get through even one play through. This album is a combination of Doom and Death Metal and while that may sound good POEMA ARCANVS’ fusion of those to genres is not conducive for listening. This record is long and boring, seeming to drone on and on and on. The longer it plays the more you want to stop listening to it and throw this cd out the window. All the songs sound the same with the exception that a few tracks have clean monotone vocals while the majority of the album has guttural growls. Nothing on this cd stuck out at me or made me want to give this album another listen. In fact upon finishing this album I never wanted to listen to it again. The whole album just sounds sloppy and careless. I advise you to not waste your time with this record. There are things far better than this to which you can listen.
