Ponamero Sundown - Rodeo Electrica

Ponamero Sundown
Rodeo Electrica
by Maria Godosi at 02 May 2011, 8:36 PM

Although this is the first time I am listening to Ponamero Sundown , Rodeo Electrica is their second album. I felt much of an enthusiasm while listening to it, since I like Dozer  and you can clearly hear Ponamero sound a lot like them. An album with plenty of great stoner riffs and vocals which surely grab your attention. You can find strong rock songs and some mellower ones, not in a line order  which makes the album been divided  in two parts – the heavy  one , and the mellow one – but in a way that keeps your interest all the time.

Evil Wand, Highway Messiah, The Dice, 1025 (has an extremely hard start but mellows down), and Shot For Glory , Sinners Breed, Goddess Of The Sun & Rodeo Electrica Part II are the heavy ones while Sorrows (this one sounded a bit like western theme to me ), Rodeo Electrica Part I (instrumental), Not The Time (acoustic, instrumental, The Ghost And The Fathomless are the mellow ones.
I for sure am going to  keep on listening to this album for a long time. I am pretty much sure you will enjoy it.
