Are you looking for some quality brutal Death Metal with no 'modern' bullshit and melodic leads? I think that PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT (what a brilliant name!) will offer you exactly what you need with their latest album Descendants Of Depravity. Get ready you Death Metal perverts! Death is back in town… again!
The band was formed as a trio back in 2000 and was formerly known as DISFIGURE. During the same year they released their self titled demo CD, which made a good impact on the underground scene. If I am not mistaken, this band once featured the great Eric De Windt (SEVERE TORTURE, DESTROYER 666, SINISTER) in its ranks. Anyway, 8 years after their formation and after three really good albums, here they come with their fourth studio offering through Neurotic Records.
The Dutch death metallers are paying tribute to their country's tradition by delivering some pure Death Metal with tons of brutality and great musicianship. They may also remind you of their country mates DISAVOWED and SEVERE TORTURE at some times. The guitars are heavy as fuck and are equipped with some more than killer riffing, as well as some melodic leads (you know what melody means in brutal Death Metal, right?) that make the whole thing even better. The singer is also really nice providing as with some guttural as well as harsh vocals, while the rhythm section is solid as a rock.
One more thing that amazed me was the sound quality, since to say the truth I expected to listen to a shitty production. So, the sound is really good having the necessary heaviness and power that these songs need. If you are into the brutal Death Metal scene and you are looking for some quality underground bands, then PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT is exactly what you need.
