PURPLE NAIL is a female fronted Gothic Rock / Gothic Metal band from Västerås in Sweden.
Band was formed in 2008 and released album “Night Lights” in 2013 and new album “Embrace The Dark” will be out worldwide on November 18th 2014.

My favorite track on this album is titled track “Embrace the Dark“ with beautiful connection piano and stronger guitars and deeply eternity singing. Very memorable chorus, I like also NIGHTWISH echoes here! Nice melody, gentle voice opening “Bound Together” and then heavier riffs, piano and chorus in higher style make this song potential hit. Gentle climate in “Between White Sheets” is nice with WITHIN TEMPTATION echoes and then with stronger sounds is similarity to IMPERIA.

Nice rockin’ riffs in “Fragments” create climatic atmosphere and gentle piano, melodic vocal and catchy refrain make very good Gothic song. I love also energetic “Sister of Faith” playing in powerful style with mega memorable chorus and also changeable rate into more calmer. Gentle singing in “My Bride in Silence” is amazing where heavier sounds perfectly connection with vocal and melody. Memorable Gothic sounds are in “Precious Pearls” where rhythmic section is clear and guitars sounds totally killer with beautiful singing.

Also worth to listen are: “Through Thistles and Thorns” - calmer ballad with atmospheric guitars and piano where mood is building by heavier riffs and excellent guitar solo and wonderful calm ballad “One Moment Pure” with beauty in singing (NIGHTWISH) and amazing guitars.

PURPLE NAIL recorded very good album on high level. These Swedish Gothic Metallers have idea on their music and lyrics. In my opinion they create nice music and surely fans of Gothic Rock and Gothic Metal will love these sounds. Vocalist Lady Crow has beautiful voice, which is very important, and it gives beauty to amazing music of PURPLE NAIL.
