Red Cain - Red Cain Award winner

Red Cain
Red Cain

RED CAIN is an upcoming Canadian Metal band with huge potential and a head full of ambition. “Guillotine” builds tension with a hooking guitar riff then hits hard with a potent drum beat and soaring vocals making for a tremendous listening experience. The guitar solo is out of this world and warrants this album being a 10/10 on its own. “Dead Aeon Requiem” sleep walks onto the album and then grabs everyone with operatic powerful bellowing vocals, The guitars begin to chug and everything speeds up only to bring us back to earth. Raw talent radiates from the band like radiation from uranium.

“Hiraeth” continues to amaze it somehow improves on the tracks prior to it while still sounding unique, I don’t think I’ve heard anything like this before. Soft vocals are placed in a sea of instruments and yet still power through with ease and efficiency. Most modern metal acts could do with taking out a note pad and sitting in front of this album. “Unborn” shrouds us in mystery from the beginning a Gothic tone is took on this song hushed vocals and bass meet to make an anthem. Excellent music arrangement is present on this track with a monster production value it shocks and awes the listener.

RED CAIN blew me away from beginning to end this is hands down album of the year, Every second is extremely enjoyable. This album alone is the shining beacon of what metal is and can be the only question left is when are they touring?
