Revelation - Inner Harbor

Inner Harbor
by Daniel Silva at 09 May 2013, 11:32 AM

REVELATION has been active since the mid-80s with six full-length albums under their belts with "Inner Harbor" being their seventh. They are a Doom Metal band, although they sound a lot like a 70s Hard Rock group especially in the title track that has a sort of DEEP PURPLE and RAINBOW influence to it; they also incorporate a lot of progressive elements to their music and have some psychedelics hints here and there like on the song “Rebecca At The Well”.

This album is quite good with special mention to be made to the instrumentals, in special the guitar of John Brenner that gives great melodies and the sound of the bass that is quite evident here like on a 70’s record.

Although not having anything truly remarkable about it, "Inner Harbor" has its moments and it can be quite entertaining
