New World Murder
by Craig Rider at 15 September 2022, 4:30 AM

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: REZET; independently unsigned, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Thrash Metal, on their 3rd EP entitled: “New World Murder” (released May 27th, 2022). Since formation in 2004; the quartet in question have a vast catalog of Thrash Metal mayhem for you to delve into, from 6 demos, 3 EPs, 1 video, and 5 full-length studio albums. I’m introduced to their 3rd EP entitled: “New World Murder”, 4 tracks ranging around 13:12 - REZET arrange an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Thrash Metal developments.

Opening up with this rampantly rompy ramification on blistering barrage frenzies in bulldozing blitzkrieg and amplified adrenalin; a boisterously bouncy execution in “The Devil’s Bride” belts a clobbering foundation in bludgeoning chops, grinding seamlessness & sonically revving remedy that thuds out some sturdy yet sulfurous volatility in rumbling reverberation melody which rivets with some vicious tonality profusely. Ricky Wagner on guitars/vocals elements a crunchy implementation in rapidly swift nimbleness & organically thrilling substance that shreds with some momentously ripping stabilities on synergetic manifestations in flamboyant firepower expertise, his cords soar with throaty raspiness amongst a bleeding foundation in high-pitched yells & shouty authority. Distilling a raging pursuit on striking virulence & robust persistence, “Alien Noises” showcases some this wildly rushing potency merged with Schimer’s Big Tuetonic 4’s Thrash Metal titans DESTRUCTION who unleash their signature slabs of solid pandemonic swarve with ruthless stridency.

Jan-Erik Fischer on lead guitar vehemently utilizes this versatile technicality; piercing venomously with weighty punchiness & jumpy velocity, forging an experimental conundrum in razor-sharp tactics that trailblaze with steamrolling tempo, while monolithic mayhem injects a dexterously dynamic virtuosity on quintessential grittiness. Concretely bashing out some brutally bruising but fun harmonies; “Dead Man Walking” creates a piledriving thump on flickering bass audibility from Lorenz Kandolf”, infectiously fabricating at a meaty yet relentless vibrancy which zestfully tremors with rambunctious maelstrom steadiness with this radically wicked fundamental in flexible riffage & monstrously impactful impulses that revel with a fierce fervor in groove-bomb excellence. Similarly profound with hammering drummer Bastian Santen who smacks the set with steely precision & stampeding rampage for good sport.

Overall concluding “New World Murder” with this jazzy cover from DEEP PURPLE legends “Fireball”; I am compelled to say that REZET thrashed my speakers with rhythmic resilience & salubrious cohesion, fueled with some distinctively distinguished steadiness - thrashing momentum methodically offers rich yet skilfull talent which provides a helluva good time should those want to head crush with pummeling pounds mightily. An enjoyably entertaining discovery and a re-playable spin that’s worthy of listening to until the next release, do check it out.
