RICH KID EXPRESS is a one man Hard Rock band that was formed by Rob Richardson in 2019 as a way to start his solo career and express himself. The project have recently released their first EP “Bubblegum Radio” and thats what we are going to talk about.

The opening track from the album is “You Went Too Far” and it starts out with a good guitar riff that reminded me MÖTLEY CRÜE and thats something good. The vocals fits the instrumental in a good way and the lines from the stanzas and vocals are pretty catchy as well. The solo part is really cool.

The Way She Rolls” starts out in a totally 70’s way of Rock N’ Roll and I loved it. There’s a groovy guitar riff and a solo going on with it. The guitar riffs from the stanzas are quite funny as well and the vocals have some dynamics as it sounds a little bit aggressive sometimes but also soft at some points.

Bubblegum Radio” is the title track of the album and it starts out with a very groovy and good bass sound mixed up with some cool bluesy vibes and the vocals are on the blues mode as well. Its a cool song and it differs from the previous ones. This song seems to have a different mix.

Just A Dog” starts out with heavy Rock N’ Roll drums and the Hard Rock guitar riffs that creates the right ambiance for the cool vocals. This song has some cool heavy parts but with a 70’s sound. Its definetely a funny song and a good one.

Steamroller” is the song that closes the album and it starts out with a different vibe and a guitar solo, but soon it turns into the already known style here. The vocal lines from the stanzas are cool and the chorus is something that KISS would definetely liked to write. Cool stuff.

RICH KID EXPRESS is a cool Rock N’ Roll and Hard Rock project with a lot of 70’s and 80’s vibe. The mixing and mastering is good and all the instruments were well written and recorded. I liked how the vocals sound and that each instruments has its own place here and none of them tried to cover the others.
