Ryker's - Hard To The Core Award winner

Ryker's
Hard To The Core
by Marcos "Big Daddy" Garcia at 04 May 2014, 11:49 PM

Germany is not only an outstanding school for Metal, but also for Hardcore since long time, giving birth to bands like INFERNO and CANAL TERROR, and now it’s time to another long time veteran for German HC school to come back to attack. Yes, after 14 years since their last album, “Life’s a Gamble..”, RYKER’S get again the Hardcore fury and strength to bring another violent blow, called “Hard to the Core”.

Of course the band got some improvements, musically saying, throughout these 22 years of existence, gathering musical influences from Crossover and Beat Down Hardcore, but their musical honesty is above any questions, and their music is as good as always. And prepare the necks to being full of aches, and the house for pogo and slamdancing!!!

The sonority is in a very good shape, sound strong and clear, without losing the Hardcore feeling in any moment (for those who believes in a bad production for a true sound, I’m sorry to say that RYKER’S proves you’re totally wrong), and the music is as impacting as heavy in both ways.

Their music is full of life and energy, showing a great worrying about the musical arrangements, so you can be sure your neighbors will hate it a lot, as you’ll love the album.

And tracks as “The World as I See It Today” (pure Hardcore feeling from the 90’s), the bolt called “Hard to the Core” (great backing vocals and guitar riffs!), the full of feeling “Can’t Kill a Dream” (what wonderful vocals!), the intense and slower “Time Heals…” (a song that has some feeling like CBGB bands from the end of the 80’s), and “Slave Cruel World” (this is more in old school way, so be prepared).

Honest, bold, strong and aggressive… Welcome back, guys.
