This band had been filed in the R.I.P. cabinet of Metal Police's Death Department for almost three years now but Afterburner is a hand-out-of-the-grave effort to turn the switch back on. Sinister is a Death Metal band from the Netherlands, assembled in 1988 and disbanded in 2004. They have currently reformed in 2005, with Aad on vocals. Having left behind the mediocre Savage Or Grace and rejecting successfully the idea of female vocals, they've done a strong comeback after over two years of absence. So, the marquee now reads Sinister: Resurrection and I must say that the band is back on the right track, with a new face in the driver's seat; Aad passed the drumsticks to Paul Beltman and stood behind the microphone to signal what the future will accept as the band's greatest milestone since their Diabolical Suicide album. To put things in perspective, they are still far from those days but at least the atmosphere of pure Death Metal makes you shiver a little again. Tracks like Men Down and Into Submission stand out of mediocrity and could make the fans of the kind make note for Sinister's next release…
