Sirius - Spectral Transition - Dimension Sirius (CD)

Sirius
Spectral Transition - Dimension Sirius
by Manolis Moundrianakis at 13 July 2001, 12:04 PM

Many bands nowadays tend to release albums of medium rating but not this one, Sirius are releasing their second album to be entitled 'Spectral Transition - Dimension Sirius' which I dare say is an excellent piece of work, and the final outcome? almost beyond expectations.

'Spectral Transition - Dimension Sirius' is a black metal album filled with haunted keyboard melodies and awesome guitar and drum riffs all mixed together in such a way that an almost ultimate black feeling is produced. IM sure that lots of u guys would like me to make a comparison with another band in order to get an idea of what this album is about, well, imagine some really fast and sudden Immortal guitar riffs in combination with Dimmu Borgir's and Emperor's great keys plus really good and inspired ideas on the hellish fast drums(be careful IM not saying that Sirius is 'copying' these bands,IM talking about the influences and the music in general). The thing that impressed me was that this band is not just another band that grabs a guitar and starts scratching it, these guys really know what they're playing. In the CD you will also find an Emperor cover track as a bonus (The Majesty Of The Nightsky). It features legendary ex-Emperor drummer Faust on some additional drums as well as Samoth on bass. Also Daemon (Limbonic Art) did also participate with some vocals on the album.

'Spectral Transition - Dimension Sirius' was carefully recorded in Norway at Akkerhaugen Lydstudio (Emperor, Zyklon, Myrkskog, Mactatus, etc.) making the production and the sound quality one of the best in the black metal scene. This album is completely stripped from any possible noise that could ruin the quality, and as an outcome everything is heard crystal clear.

Well…here you have it, an almost perfect and aggressive album with some very good participation's of musicians if you are into this kind of stuff what are you waiting for! GO GET IT :p.
