Steel Panther - All You Can Eat Award winner

Steel Panther
All You Can Eat
by Katarzyna Zakolska at 06 April 2014, 12:50 AM

STEEL PANTHER is a Hard Rock, Glam / Hair Metal band from Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in 2000 and released four albums: “Hole Patrol” in 2003, “Feel the Steel” in 2009, “Balls Out” in 2011 and coming out strong for 2014, “All You Can Eat” which was produced by the all mighty Jay Ruston (ANTHRAX, ADRENALINE MOB).

The about to be notorious nasty banger, “Pussywhipped“, slamming hard, opening with kick ass sounds that would have made SCORPIONS shout till drop, melodic singing and awesome guitar slashing soloing. The filthy “Gloryhole” has a similarity to THE POODLES, conveying kind of a cheerful sound, with an enticing performance. As expected, a mega catchy chorus and killer backing vocals. “She's On The Rag”, a little on the modern edge, characterized by melodic high end chorus, keyboards in the background with a stadium Rock flavor. The power song “BVS” shows the high class of STEEL PANTHER on the Glam Metal scene with listenable VAN HALEN influences. “Gangbang At The Old Folks Home” partying hard with memorable moments, classy style, along with a perfect guitar solo played by Vivian Campbell (DEF LEPPARD). “The Burden Of Being Wonderful” is as boastful commercial bolter, sharing a few elements with the new age BON JOVI. “Party Like Tomorrow Is The End Of The World” is full of catchy melodies and larger than life spirit.

Worth to listen are also: “If I Was The King” carving Rock 'N' Roll feel on one's skin, “Fucking My Heart In The Ass” serving Country notes and high flying echoes, ballad song “Bukkake Tears” with DEF LEPPARD echoes, fabulous guitars in “You're Beautiful When You Don't Talk” with a musical craftiness of DOKKEN and GOTTHARD and finally the Blues drenched “Ten Strikes You’re Out”.

STEEL PANTHER once again treated their followers with the best of their creations; tuneful 80's oriented Glam Metal blasted by sex, fury and a lot of attitude. The band's ample naughtiness served them well for years, alongside their experience, which opened them to a sea of fans. This new record continues their successful journey into the pantheon of the gods. A highly recommend release.
