Tacit Fury - A Social Berserker

Tacit Fury
A Social Berserker
by Dave "That Metal Guy" Campbell at 24 June 2014, 5:51 PM

TACIT FURY is a Death Metal band from Moscow, Russia, Reformed in 2010.  “A Social Berserker” is their first, full length album, and contains three tracks.  “Lacerated, Strangled, Impaled” is the opening song on the album.  It is heavy, dark, traditional Death Metal, featuring alternating blast beat drumming, guitar squeals, and straightforward death vocals, over a course of riff driven guitar work.  “Run While You Can” continues with the low E chord riff base, but with a key change back and forth, and a furious guitar solo.  “War Against All Living” is the third and final track.  It’s a bit quicker in pace, and features a running sort of guitar riff.  The long, wailing chorus is a nice addition to strengthening the piece overall, as is the melodic ending.  It’s hard to evaluate a band from three tracks.  However, there is promise here with TACIT FURY.  Fans of traditional Death Metal will be pleased with what they hear, and I appreciate some of the variegate they were able to bring to the table, especially in the last track.
