What do you get when you mix Les Miserables, PINK FLOYD, Progressive / Symphonic Metal, and a Greek Goddess? You get TATIANA'S NIOVI. "Breath Of Life" is a technical, sweeping, majestic cd full of great songs.
Listening to this album, it reminds me of so many of my favourite artists yet doesn't really copy any of them. I hear traces of PINK FLOYD in the opening of "A Prayer".There's a definite Broadway meets Metal aspect in the beautiful tune "Ring Of Darkness" that almost makes you imagine the Hobbit as a Metal tune. "Oh Love" has a NIGHTWISH or Within Temptation feel to it. All these tunes have obvious influences yet stand on their own respects.
Tatiana Manoidou has managed to compose an album full of amazing tunes here. While I am not a fan of her style of singing, it fits these tunes perfectly. The tunes on "Breath of Life" perfectly showcase her voice and band.
TATIANA'S NIOVI is a great way to spend an hour. It's a deeply satisfying listen that hits all the right notes throughout.
