The Burning Crows - Behind The Veil Award winner

The Burning Crows
Behind The Veil
by Katarzyna Zakolska at 03 June 2013, 11:45 AM

THE BURNING CROWS is a Hard Rock band formed in 2010, emerging in  the UK. Two years after their formation, the debut EP, “Never Had It So Good” was released. That EP featured guest Keith Weir (THE QUIREBOYS / DEF LEPPARD). Debut Album “Behind The Veil” is about to be released.

Highlight of album is the fantastic opener “High”. Slabs of Rock N’ Roll, tight rhythm section high end vocals, tremendous melodies but chopping similarly to AC/DC and THE DARKNESS with a definite guitar work. On “Fallin'” there is blooming catchiness, highly oriented 80s driven chorus, sticks quite good. “Behind The Veil” is an energetic charger with quality melodies while the beautiful ballad “Here I Am” encircled with acoustic instruments, a product of a really nice playing, and a fanciful guitar solo with astounding melody. The violins made me think of AEROSMITH, also Whippz is taking it down in the Steven Tyler lane. “Devil May Care” is another charmer with impressive guitaring while the “All The Way” heads up strong, letting the good times roll with classic Hard Rock and melodic choruses.

Worth to listen are also: “Best Damn Everything” with heavier riffs and melodies, “Time” feeling of BON JOVI, “You, Me, Tonight” startling with choppy Rock N’ Roll, “The Queen” continuing the melodic vibe, “So Wrong”, “Slow Up, Get Down” and “Say My Name” are catchy as hell, tuned up with powerful Rock N’ Roll riffs, great harmonies and catchy peak moments, fine measure of skill on the instrumentation.

THE BURNING CROWS sent me out shooting for the good that is within old school Rock N’ Roll without modern pondering. I could feel the passion scaling the doors, rushing through the room as my speakers blazed, trust me people, Rock is here to stay, so head on to buy this one.
