Do you miss great Glam Metal? Bands like
MOTLEY CRUE,
W.A.S.P.,
QUIET RIOT and more? You can stop looking , today on sale Hailing from Chicago, Illinois USA let me Introduced
THE LAST VEGAS with their now album
“Bad Decisions” in Stores near You.
“Bad Decisions” is produced by
Nikki Sixx and if I have to explain who is
Nikki Sixx, fuck me you are on the wrong site with the wrong job and in the wrong fucking universe. Ok for you guys that were born like 5 years ago,
Nikki Sixx is the co-founder and bassist of the band
MOTLEY CRUE one of the must successful Metal bands of all time and the pioneer of the Glam Metal style. So it’s more than appropriate that he will produce a Glam Metal Band. I will say it upfront all songs on the album are good, some are even divine, so I will focus on the divine songs. Fuck it, I will try and write on all songs because I think that you guys deserve the best.
First song
“Beat To Hell” starts with a classic
MOTLEY CRUE / Last Vegas Glam riff and head beating rhythm launched me back to 80s California Los Angeles imagining that
THE LAST VEGAS guys are from Chicago,
“Other Side” the second keeps the same formula as the previous.
“Evil Eyes”is the best song on the album, which is only my opinion. Great riffing with a pinch of Punk ripping on the chorus and most important amazing harmony between all instruments, Hi five for
Nikki Sixx after all he is the producer.
“She Is My Confusion” uses a low level strumming and ripping more a Stoner style however all with Glam rhythm and vocals create a very interesting song, btw, I really love parts that are all vocals with not music, give an amazing atmosphere to the Songs, and yes “she is stuck inside my mind”
Again Stoner riffing meets Glam Metal ripping and rhythm on
“Leonida” such a great song. Like in any Glam Metal album we need some kind of ballads like
“It Aint Easy” that try entering this empty spot, even though it starts like a ballad in the style that changes to a mellow rhythm style in the vein of
CINDERELLA, however
“Good Night” appears to be a better chosen for ballads with classic structure and guitar strumming , also the chorus give us a nice ending.
I almost add a nervous breakdown trying to figure out if to give
THE LAST VEGAS –
“Bad Decisions” the elusive 10, however I give 10 only to ground breaking albums,
“Bad Decisions” have a great music, melody and was produced superbly so it’s a 9, I think that people that loves Glam will probably give it a 10.
