Ah, a typical release by one of my once favourite labels Inside Out. I guess it's quite hard to be a label specialized in one genre. How easy can be to seek out and release constant albums from the same genre? Definitely not the easiest thing in the world. Things turn blacker considering the fact that we are talking about progressive metal… now we all know where this will lead. No mater how hard the label tried to convince me about originality I can't really agree with them. You see sound complex has nothing to do with sounding original. Sadly THOUGHT CHAMBER are complex but NOT original. And not even the amazing vocal abilities of well known ENCHANT singer Ted Leonard can save this album from mediocrity. I've heard it all before: a lengthy collage of riffs and solos, swamped in an ocean of keyboards (makes you wonder why this should be considered metal) and in between a vocalist trying to find a place under the sun. Sorry not my cup of tea for a long time now. Honestly what's the point listening to such kind of music? No mater how hard you try nothing sticks in mind and after a couple of listening sessions you get the itch to press the next button on your remote. B-O-R-I-N-G. Spell it. OK? Now go and listen the new THRESHOLD album.
