Timor Et Tremor - Upon Bleak Grey Fields Award winner

Timor Et Tremor
Upon Bleak Grey Fields
by Jorge "The Zarto" Zamudio at 29 July 2012, 6:05 PM

Surprise, surprise, and Germany strikes again, TIMOR ET TREMOR, a band totally unknown for me, has risen to my ears and mind, to only letting me eagerly, full of energy, and like the name: full of “trembling and fear”.

Black metal of nowadays, has a real good characteristic for me: good production, you can now fully appreciate a song, listening all the instruments, and I say this without disrespecting the classics that had made the genre what is today, but now I feel the Black metal more… complete.

TIMOR ET TREMOR have managed to make a good impression with this album, the constant use of harsh and clean voices have given them points, filling completely the aura and atmosphere that is present along the tracks, sometimes could be a little repetitive, but what the hell, you still enjoy it. The guitars are very good written, showing that touch of classic with more volume, drums and bass, as always in BM, for me fill perfectly, not saying that it’s the best, but is perfect for the composition of this release, and for what wants to be expressed, the voices, gives that ups and downs, but still are enjoyable.

For a band like this, in these days, without too much promotion, is clearly a talent that has to rise in the metal world, bands like this is what is needed. Not telling how good they are will be an insult to them, and of course to myself, who still believe in the day that the world should come to an end… with this kind of hell, Metal Hell.
