Despite being a Swedish band,
TORNADO BABIES are a band who were formed in London in 1987. They are a 5-piece Rock N' Roll band from Gothenburg, Sweden. Vocally, they are a band who might be enjoyed by fans of
AC/DC and such like. Musically, they have a
ZZ Top kind-of vibe. The band has been around since 1987 and released their debut album,
“Eat This!” in 1991 and are still thriving today. With the release of the new album “
Demo-Lition” comes a fresh new collection of songs from the Swedish Rockers. 18 tracks come to us on the new album, which is the band's first album release since 2013. With scorching vocals and squealing guitar riffs this is an album to toss your head to.
Tracks to listen out for on the new album are plentiful. With 18 songs to choose from there is something for each and every fan of
TORNADO BABIES. The opening track
“Wasted Youth” brings us a taste of the album with 4 minutes 2 seconds of belting vocals and a message that is simple, there’s no time to waste.
“Fool For Ya Bitch” comes in at 4 minutes 5 seconds and is a song to turn up loud. Classic metal guitar playing and top shelf vocals make this a track not to be missed. For those who enjoy scratchy vocals this album is right on top.
“Shoot To Kill” is a song which opens with some real heavy riffs on guitar and beats on drums.
Dan Ellstrom’s vocals enter the song and bring it to life with that Rock N' Roll kind-of feel that makes you appreciate being alive!
“Hardtime” is another song worth mentioning from the new album
“Demo-Lition” - it is a love song about love giving out a hard time, on occasion a true story in life. The song
“Too Drunk To Drink” is also a noteworthy track on the album to listen out for and with its Hard Rock style intro and powerful lyrics, it is truly a captivating song.
In my opinion, the band have come far in their 32 years and still have far to go. They certainly have reminded fans that they are in no way finished by bringing us the fresh new material on
“Demo-Lition”.
TORNADO BABIES are most certainly a band who have no intentions of shying from the scene any time soon. They are a band who cry “onwards and upwards!” and are one to follow into the future of the heavy Rock N' Roll scene. A band who, no doubt, have got good things to bring to the fans in the future as they continue to thrive after 32 years together.
