From the first note of “Step Inside”you can tell that this is in no way a Metal album. It sounds like a mix of LED ZEPPELIN and Johnny Cash. It has that old sounding production style which gives it a different feel than anything else I’ve heard this year. This countrified Rock album really isn’t my cup of tea but it was decent effort none the less. The occasional Ted Nugget like soloing is enjoyable but nothing really stands out on this album for me. The tracks all sound similar and it doesn’t keep my attention. The vocalist tends to get on my nerves after a few tracks. All though this is not a great album for me the musicians do possess a great deal of talent, this album just didn’t do it for me. Like I said this type of music isn’t for me but if you enjoy this genre by all means check it out. I can recommend “Shirleen”and “Another Man’s Name” as the best off this record.
