Vesen - This Time It's Personal

This Time It's Personal
by Daniel Silva at 13 December 2012, 7:18 PM

VESEN is a Norwegian band that plays a sort of Black and Thrash hybrid, here you will find the characteristic high pitch distorted guitar tone and raspy vocals of the Black Metal variety set against a melody background characteristic of Thrash Metal. It is evident that VESEN isn’t a band that is trying to improve and revolutionize the genre by pushing its already far boundaries, but instead seeks to play what it likes, delivering a solid album.

Overall “This Time It’s Personal” is a pretty decent record with good songs like “Billions”, “Chained And Bled” and the title-track, that have some cool riffs, but there isn’t nothing especially life-changing about it.
