It’s common that some bands turned their style into something different just because they feel more comfortable, but as much as you change, you will always have the roots on your music, this is the case of VIDHARR, a Doom Metal act, changed into Black Metal, but having in their songs, their melodies, something that will never change: Doom.
The Doomish influences are used in a very good way, showed in their constant change of rhythms in the songs, as it is in the length of the songs, the vocals, the riffs and solos, bass lines and drums ever-changing, but as good as it sounds, is hard to get out of monotony, just because innovative is hard to do, and sometimes you could not find the way to get out of the cliché, and Doom has always the cliché too.
A moment in life could be easily lost if you do not know what you’re doing, so if this is your case in the last days, get this record, waste your time, but always getting something worth of it, something that probably you will remember.
