Vredehammer - Vinteroffer Award winner

Vredehammer
Vinteroffer
by Marcos "Big Daddy" Garcia at 04 May 2014, 3:09 PM

And Norway frozen lands still have many secrets to reveal in terms of extreme Metal, and VREDEHAMMER is a fine name of Norwegian Black Metal, indeed. And their new album, “Vinteroffer”, released by Indie Recordings, shows a lot of what they can do.

It’s not simply Black Metal. The band really has an extreme good taste in doing music. Sometimes using of a more experimental insight and clean sound production. Some narrow minded fans can speak something, but never mind them. This quartet is excellent on their music, nothing more is left to say. Great vocals, excellent guitar work, heavy and technical rhythmic basis, but their insight on something cleaner and heavier really is astonishing!

The sound production, as said above, is really very good. Clean enough to hear all the instruments sound clear and heavy both separately or together, but heavy and intense as their musical work demands. It’s time for war!

Hats off to their greatest moments: “Cthulhu”, “Suicide Forest” (what amazing guitars and vocals!), the technical and abrasive “We are the Sacrifice”, “Sykdom” and its great drums in a more up tempo song, and the long, experimental and excellent “Vinteroffer”.
