Wings Of Destiny - Ballads Award winner

Wings Of Destiny

WINGS OF DESTINY is coming at you again with this all around smashing album. “Ballads” is a great addition to the discography that this band has already built. Having been around since 2013, they are not new to the world of Power Metal and have thrown together a pretty good demonstration of their talent on this album! Whether you are already a fan of WINGS OF DESTINY or are just learning of their existence, give them a chance and at least read my album review!

Live Again”, the introduction song to this presentation of Power Metal, starts off very symphonic, drawing you in with an anthem-like vibe. It’s almost as if you were walking heroically into battle, but the anthem-like feel is quickly turned into the feeling of power. The battle has broken out and is now being channeled through the drums and guitars that are blaring through your speakers and headphones. All of this is accompanied by the personalization of the band’s sound: the lyrics. Everything comes together on this introduction to set an amazing baseline for how the album will unfold.

If you listen to this whole album, it will show you the many sides of the band. “One More Lie” is a slow but heavy song. It shows a deep emotional pit that is apparent in the desperation of the music. Through the orchestral elements of the music, this pain is made appealing. Everything is coordinated and well thought out, almost as if every note were placed one at a time, handpicked by the emotional core of the band.

All around, this is a very well put together piece of musical work. With a couple remasters, “Sirens Song” and “Eye Of The Storm”, it is possible to go and look at the growth and progression this band has made. They have created a very good album here, in my professional opinion. If you’re looking for something new or have been on the fence if this album is worth the purchase, my vote is 100 percent towards it being worth it!
