Witch King - Voice Of The Ossuary Award winner

Witch King
Voice Of The Ossuary
by Craig Rider at 03 January 2019, 9:40 PM

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: WITCH KING; signed via Blood Harvest Records, hailing from the United States of America - performing Black/Death Metal, on their debut album entitled: “Voice Of The Ossuary” (released July 12th, 2018).

Since formation in 2008; the band in question have 6 Demos, an EP and a Split in their discography so far. I am introduced to their debut album entitled: “Voice Of The Ossuary” 10 tracks ranging at around 36:11; WITCH KING arrange an intricately designed formula of hard-hitting Black/Death Metal developments, “Rejection Of The Light” begins the record - conveying in boistrously bouncy crunchiness of extreme noise terror. The influence here is CANNIBAL CORPSE; mixed with their own organic substance, adrenaline fuelled hymns and adroit aesthetics in which contribute bludgeoning deadliness while amalgamated with intensely creative savagery. Vehemently tight; weighty, and profusely robust - this here trio manifests with meticulous rhythms that will relentlessly stimulate your soul in no time.

Consisting of Ethan Facincani on the audible bass & vocals; the frontman delivers intense pipes that squeal with sinister shreiks, malevolent hostility & immense distinction. “Void Emissary” demonstrates concretely gritty hymns; hardened with primitively malicious technicalities that will make anyone break chairs over other chairs. Dextrous guitarist Sean McQuade generates chaotic mayhem, prodegiously quaking with solidly sonic seamlessness as “Apocalypse Tribe” coherently adapts aggressively composed tendencies that thunders with blistering consistency while contrasting with constructively distinguished detail. Powerhouse drummer Ben Lopez batters and hammers his steel with speed and unprecedented ultilations, converged with catchy grooves that will furiously engage on headbanging haste & dynamic diversity.

The titular track amplifies with acutely infectious injections of inventively crafted thumpiness that jumps with salubrious subjugations, stomping skill & roudy ramifications. “Savage Conquest Upon Holy Lands” is another behemoth; the bass trembles with mid-tempo madness, while the drums dash like a furious stampede rampaging with chugging gallops and momentum. “Jehovah Grinder” is an 1:52 interlude; conjuring a grandiose granduer of elegantly energizing dose of diligently subtle stability, where “Howling Beyond The Veil” culminates a blend of viciously orchestrated musicianship. “Mocking The Seraphim” excels with efficaciously effective instrumentation, keeping the listener hooked like a mad man on a killing rage - hellbent on slaying without remorse.

Final Annihilation” fuses firepower and flamboyant expertise, combustive explosions in which blast with forcefully forged riffs and solos - while “Astral Desecration” overall concludes the record with enjoyably entertaining finesse. Bottom line; if you love your metal with fiercely fabricated determination, WITCH KING will deliver and provide persistant pummelling with massive versatile variety - bravo lads, you outdone yourselves here!
