Woslom - Time To Rise (Reissue)

Time To Rise (Reissue)
by Daniel Silva at 03 April 2014, 3:03 PM

Brazilian thrashers WOSLOM were formed in 1997 and originally self-released their debut album, "Time to Rise", in 2010 and now it is being reissued through their new label.

Now, I never listened to the original album so I don’t know how different the reissue is, so my review will only cover the present album, and I got to warn you things don’t look very good… this is a very mind-numbing, uninspired record, it has nothing truly remarkable about it to warrant the great fuzz that surrounds this band.

It is nothing about the band itself or their playing, since it is obvious they have some ability, it is in the songs themselves, they are repetitive and quite frankly they are boring as hell, it is the same fast and aggressive riffs that thousands of Thrash Metal bands have done throughout history with absolutely no creative variation on them.

If you liked the original record or you are a fan of the band you will probably enjoy it but for all newcomers that are looking for a new Thrash band I suggest you keep looking, there are better records out there for you to check out.
