Every Time I Die @ Manchester Academy 2, Manchester, UK

EVERY TIME I DIE/Comeback Kid/Knocked Loose/Higher Power
in Tuesday, 28 November 2017 at Manchester Academy 2
by Emily Coulter

EVERY TIME I DIE hit Manchester this evening to a sold out crowd at Academy 2 in Manchester. One of the most hard working, rowdiest and loudest bands around have arrived to raise hell on of their craziest tours to date. Supported by COMEBACK KID this is not a tour to miss out on, especially with the vast majority of dates being sold out. This tour is also not one of the light hearted; expect bruises, a hangover and memories from seeing the Buffalo greats live.

COMEBACK KID hit the stage with energy and rage, performing a set of new and old hits to please every kind of fan. Even if the back of the venue is tame for a Hardcore band, at the front the crowd is surfing over each other and losing their voices as the set goes on. Tracks like “G.M. Vincent And I” and “Wake The Dead” get the audience on their toes - some crowd pleasers to get everyone dancing. Even tracks from their latest album “Outsider” goes down well with the crowd and “Somewhere, Somehow” sounds even better live than it does on record.

When the headlining band we've all been waiting for comes on the venue erupts. Opening up with “No Son Of Mine” followed by “Floater” is a sure fire way to get the crowd riled up.

EVERY TIME I DIE have a setlist that is comprised from a variety of their albums, with 20 songs full of passion and rage. Vocalist Keith Buckley sounds even better live than he does on record, even when performing their earlier songs.

Despite a broken foot, guitarist Jordan Buckley is still jumping over the stage without a care in the world, doing the complete opposite of the doctor’s orders. “Map Change” and “Fear And Trembling” close the set with a bang, with the venue louder than ever and singing word for word.

Tonight's set has shown that the UK music scene is truly alive and kicking.
