DEAF HAVANA: To Headline Marshall Live 2020.

Added 02 December 2019, 5:14 PM

Marshall Amplification are pleased to announce the return of Marshall Live for 2020. Taking over the Marshall Arena for a second year, Marshall Live takes place on 6th June with Norfolk based Deaf Havana taking the headline slot. After Deaf Havana’s 2018 release ‘Rituals’ they’ve been busy headlining festivals like 2000 Trees and playing historic venues like Alexandra Palace Theatre. Alongside them Dinosaur Pile-Up arrive in Milton Keynes after critically acclaimed album ‘Celebrity Mansions’ bringing a grunge-infused rock element to the day. Sonically stunning Dream Wife add their indie-rock fusion to a strong line up, while pop-rock cotton candy band Hot Milk will also join the bill proving their status as a headliner of tomorrow. Rounding off the line-up come Marshall Records very own Press to MECO, a band who’ve toured with the likes of Shinedown and gearing up to support great British acts such as Holding Absence. The band promise to kick off the antics for the day, with more bands still to be announced.

Adding to the stellar line up is the Discovery Stage at Marshall Live, which is set to feature a selection of the finest unsigned bands playing throughout the day. Further details and applications to play will be available from early 2020. On top of this Marshall will be hosting pick up and play areas and jam sessions to let attendees get hands on with iconic amps, exclusive merch and everything else Marshall.

Speaking on the return of the event and the line up, Marshall Commercial Director, Alex Coombes said: “Marshall Live is the embodiment of what Marshall stands for – putting live music first. From a musicians perspective we are able to give grassroot bands an opportunity to play an arena early in their career, and even give unsigned bands the chance to perform alongside headline acts. From a fan perspective, they are able to discover a full days worth of new bands for £30. In addition, we are also championing Milton Keynes as an up and coming music location. We love the line-up, it might just be the best out there for an all-dayer; but we also learnt a lot from last year, so we’ve not been afraid to switch a few things up. We’re putting a lot of emphasis on audience engagement for this year, we want Marshall Live to inspire the next generation of music lovers.”
