The Titans Of Metal Cyprus is Coming: December 18th, the Pavilion, Nicosia

Added 06 October 2015, 8:29 AM

One Year ago about 15 show promoters from Europe were offered a metal tour called “Metal All Stars” which was supposed to be one of the most amazing things in the history of metal.

All All-star lineup of heavy metal vocalists and musicians, performing metal classics in changing line-ups. The show was offered by a US promoter called Gabe Reed, and from there – things went to hell.

After agreeing to the terms and prices, and after paying Gabe Reed sums from 15K Euro to even 30K Euro or more for each performer, the line-up magically started to lose some of its star names.

Zakk Wylde was the first to go, his name dropped shortly after the official PR statement for many of the promoters. Afterwards – everyone just disappeared, no Chuck Billy, no Joey Beladonna, no Cronos. Promoters were pressured into sending Reed their money, so he doesn’t cancel the shows they (and the fans) wanted – and then the tour just fell apart.

Reed offered a changed line up, led by Max Cavalera, to happen 6 months later. Money back? No way.

So these promoters had to pay back thousands of angry fans who did not get the show they were promised, but also did not get back the hundreds of thousands of Euros Gabe Reed got, nor the money they paid for advertising, PR and other expenses they had.

6 months later, Reed cancelled the tour altogether.

The Promoters did not get their money back even then.

Reputations were ruined, the ticket buyers were furious, not knowing what these promoters did, not the richest or biggest of promoters as it is, lost everything they had trying to make this amazing tour happen, only to fall victim to a fraud and con artist, some losing their homes, their companies and even their health as a result.

Reed kept on sending lies, about him being divorced – only to later publish pictures of himself and his wife visiting Japan, probably hoping to con Japanese promoters, unaware of his past dealings.

Israel’s Progstage, a leading music promoter, swore to do something about this.

Apart from using investigators to locate and hopefully sue Gabe Reed (a Facebook page called "Stop Gabe Reed Productions Fraud" details the many con-jobs he did in the past), Progstage also decided to deliver what Reed promised to do, only this time – do it themselves, working directly with the artists to deliver something unique.

So the Titans of Metal was born, an all-star lineup consisting of amazing metal vocalists and musicians, who will come together for a 3 hour long show which will feature them performing songs from bands they are, or were a part of as well as additional metal classics preformed together by an all-changing lineup of amazing metal talents.

The event will take place first in Tel Aviv, Israel, on December 2015, and again the following day in Cyprus on December 18th.
