GUNS N’ ROSES: To release new music in 2022!

The GUNS N’ ROSES are one of the most popular rock bands of all time, so when the news was announced that they would be bringing out a new EP, there would have been many that would not have been able to wait to rock out to the new tracks.

Indeed, fans of the iconic group that features band members such as Axl Rose & Slash will feel that they will have to wait a lifetime for the new four-song EP to be released, but in reality, there are only a few months before it is actually released.

Titled “Hard Skool”, the EP by the GUNS N’ ROSES will be launched on February 25, 2022, and is going to be exclusive to their official store. The EP features two new songs that have been released in the last couple of months, with “Absurd” featuring, as well as live versions of “Don’t Cry” and “You're Crazy” - tracks that were recently performed on their USA Tour.

The legendary rock band will be hoping to have as much success with the tracks that they are about to release as they did with a number of the songs that they launched in the past. For instance, they had a huge amount of success with “Sweet Child O’ Mine” which had managed to hit the Number One spot in the US Billboard Charts back in 1988; unfortunately, it was the only Number One that they had ever achieved, although they had a number of tracks make it into the Top 10.

Nonetheless, this did not stop NetEnt from providing tracks such as “Welcome to the Jungle”, “Sweet Child O’ Mine”, “Paradise City”, “November Rain” and “Chinese Democracy” in their self-titled slot machines, thus highlighting just how popular their music has been around the planet and how much of an influence it had on the industry.

Of course, the GUNS N’ ROSES are famous around the world for their music, though, despite the chart successes, which has also made the band a rather popular brand when it comes down to commercial possibilities. The band’s logo has been used on various items of clothing and other merchandise in the past, as well.

“Hard Skool”

Previously set to be named “Jackie Chan” as a working title, the new “Hard Skool” track to be launched was written by singer Axl Rose, and co-produced by Rose and Caram Costanzo. It was originally recorded during the “Chinese Democracy” era, however these tracks were omitted from that album which is why they are now set to be released in 2022.

It could be argued that one of the main reasons for the decision to release the previously-unreleased tracks could be down to the fact that the full versions of the track “Hard Skool” had been leaked back in August 2019.

However, it could also be argued that their successful tour of the USA (which is ongoing) and their upcoming 2022 World Tour across various big cities around the planet will have played a huge role in making the tracks available.

Still highly popular

It is clear that GUNS N’ ROSES’ popularity has far from dwindled despite their time on the circuit, whilst the success that they had when performing “Absurd” on their Boston leg of their recent tour.

The track is a reworked version of the unreleased track titled “Silkworms” and this was released just three days after it was performed at Boston’s Fenway Park on August 6, 2021. The track, which is reported to have also been written and produced during the band’s “Chinese Democracy” era was last played under the name of “Silkworms” back in 2001.

Perhaps in even more exciting news, the band is working on their first studio album under their GUNS N’ ROSES name since the “Chinese Democracy” release and is said to be the first to feature Rose, Slash and bassist Duff McKagan since 1993.
