Nowhere In Between Forever
Lantlos
You may ask yourself, why is this band signed to Prophecy Productions, a largely Metal label, when this music is pretty far away from that label? The answer is, of course, because they can. Prophecy Productions has always been able to find artists like Markus out there, and they don’t really care about genres. Just listen to the album, and you will find secret boxes that have gold hidden in them, overflowing with pleasing melodies. On the first warm day of spring in NorthEast Pennsylvania, this album is just the panacea that I needed today. Simple, but exquisite
Violent Playground
Bite Down
If songs don’t have to make sense to you, but need to be filled with as much noise and distracting sounds possible, you should give BITE DOWN a go. Who knows, “Violent Playground” may be just your thing.
Fractured Minds
Our Mirage
Metalcore is becoming more and more a mainstream Metal genre, and with that you will get the bands that start fitting that bill more and more. OUR MIRAGE is such a band.
Le Chemin Du Gaucher
Philippe Drouin Obvurt
If any of my readers ever have had guitar lessons, or feel that they can do with more finger fast exercises, you might want to check out PHILIPPE DOROUIN OBVURT on his latest endeavour, the debut album “Le Chemin Du Gaucher”. This is classed as Technical Death Metal, but this band (project?) from Quebec in Canada does more masturbatory guitar sounds than any other Death Metal band I have even encountered.
II Bleak
Vast Pyre
Well, first off let me tell you that if you do not like your Doom Metal slow and deliberate, you really need to stay away from VAST PYRE. They have the ability to go slow, but also very Heavy in a rather low toned sound, making it all come out in a very menacing and threatening way.
In Essence Divided
Nightshade
When you really stop to think about it, Progressive music can be anything you want it to be, and this album was an example of how far the genre can be pushed. The part of me who has to categorize everything he hears for my own reference point and for a guide for listeners is frustrated that I can’t find the proper word to describe their music. However, the other part of me who knows good music when he hears it is completely satisfied.
Nearest Dusk
Insipidus
I'm not trying to sabotage this review by completely diverting the subject, but I fucking hate AI.
silence outlives the earth

Derelict Heart
Northern Graves
This was an outstanding album. Each of the four meaty songs that make up the heart of the effort are powerful, emotionally charged, and rich in scope. There is an impending sense of doom along with rage on the heighted end, plenty of melodies in the middle, and seamless transitions that connect these passages. Without experiencing the great plans of Canada, I can feel its spirit in each song, and it’s a proud heritage.
The Oblation of Man
Towering
An oblation is something presented or dedicated, typically to God, a deity, or a sacred purpose. Within the context of the album, it takes on a darker meaning…humanity itself is the sacrifice. It seems like a nefarious conclusion to the end of mankind, yet I have the feeling that would be just the thing to rid the world of in order for healing…remove all of us from the equation. It’s less a collection of songs, and more like a bleak study of incredibly dark music, exploring the idea that the greatest sacrifice in the story of civilization may ultimately be man himself. It’s a early contender for Album of the Year.
Bastard
Moon Tooth
Just like smoking your first cigarette (don't do that, by the way), my first experience with Moon Tooth left me periodically satisfied. The alt-prog sensibilities grabbed me, but unlike the aftermath of a smoke, I never got hooked, and I virtually never listened to the Long Island league again.
Kings
Grey Skies over Rapture
Just be happy I broke 350 words with a three-song EP.
Melodies of Despair
Swanwriter
For me, this was a personal album that may not appeal to the masses so easily. Let me add that probably wasn’t Koda’s intent anyway. There is a lot of beauty here, buried within melancholic passages and sadness. As a music buff, I can appreciate the level of detail in every song, although, as a whole, it wasn’t quite as grabbing to me as I had hoped. Still, it’s worth listening to and making up your own mind.
Determined to Death and Beyond
Archaic Oath
Overall, this was a traditional Black Metal sound that most enthusiasts will find to their liking. I was hoping for some more experimentation and surprises, but they never came. Give credit to the band for fulfilling their vision on the album, but also offer some critique for the lack of diversity.

Revered by Death" is an okay album, but let's not parade around claiming to play all the genres all the time, ya hear me Karloff?
Breaking the Catatonic State
Crouch
In sum, the album has an air of confidence about it, as if the trio doesn’t give a fuck whether you like it or not. It’s dirty…no, filthy even, with a soul that has turned black. The album won’t only move you on an emotional level, but also a physical level. It’s raw, cold, and primal.

CZART is an experimental metal band hailing from Poland. On All Hallows Eve, Gary Hernandez, writer and editor for Metal Temple, caught up with members of CZART to discuss everything from AI to the reasons why metal resonates so much in Poland to whether we are living in the best of times or the worst. Most importantly, they discuss the beloved CZART goat.
