Zombie Sam - Self Conscious Sanity Award winner

Zombie Sam
Self Conscious Sanity
by Marcos "Big Daddy" Garcia at 25 May 2014, 12:21 AM

Sometimes the Steinmetal sends me some albums that can make my beard lifts up of pure astonishment and ZOMBIE SAM really can surprise many with their “Self Conscious Sanity”.

It’s fusion between Metal, Industrial Rock, some Pop and J-Pop aspects and Groove moments, and great doses of black humor (these guys are freak zombies!), so it’s something between RAMMSTEIN, N.I.N. and OOMPH, with some experimentalism near electronic music masters DAFT PUNK, but with many personal touches bringing them to the outer limits of Metal. Yes, I’m not kidding.

When the CD plays, we can hear a very good sound production, putting every instrument and accords where they must be to their music flow in very spontaneous way, and of course it can embrace us tenderly sometimes, and savage on other ones.

They’re very creative, of course not all Metal fans can get identification with their, but songs as “A Hallow Tale”, the Industrial Rocker “Family Portrait”, the groovy “Through The Looking Glass”, the beautiful and Gothic “The Awake”, and the more aggressive “Unreal”. And for those who loves bonus, the Digipack version has a orchestral version for “A Hallow Tale”.

Excellent album, and thanks Mr. Steinmetal for this one!
